Rumor control at it’s best, Ausielllo shoots down the theory that the big reaping on March 5th will include Claire (although I have to admit that the way Kristin put it Monday, the door was open for that) and throws a twist out there:

Question: A big glass of Smurfberry Snapple if you tell me if my suspicions are right and it’s Claire-Bear who gets killed on Heroes.— Layla
Ausiello: Here’s my dilemma: Claire isn’t the one dying, but I still want that big glass of Smurfberry Snapple. I suppose I could lie and say Claire is going to die, but that seems kinda underhanded. Thoughts? Here’s something to chew on whilst you mull that over: There are actually two big Heroes deaths coming up. One’s on Mar. 5, the other is in the run-up to the season finale.

In the review for this past Monday’s episode (Run!), Kristin had this to say about Matt and Jessica/Niki:

Matt can help Nikki. You picked up on how Matt is the only one who can hear Nikki and Jessica’s thoughts, right? Well that will definitely come into play later on, as Matt grows even more of a backbone and once again encounters Linderman’s new hit man (Jessica).

Previews for Chapter Sixteen “Unexpected” are now available via YouTube. As usual the Canadia version is much more informative that the US version: Ando gets caught in the cross-fire beteen the agent and the showgirl Hope resulting in him getting shot (doesn’t look fatal so relax); Claire, at the risk of getting mind wiped, stands up to her adoptive father HRG “I just want to protect this family from YOU!”; Claude is mad at Peter thinking that he led HRG’s group right to him saying THEY were the reason he’s stayed invisible all those years. A new Hero was introduced tonight in a sneak preview during Deal or No Deal. Unfortunately we don’t have a clip online (just yet). However in the clip Mohinder and Sylar go to visit her. The clip started past the introductions so they didn’t say her name but evidentally she has super-hearing. Initially it gave her incredible headaches until she learned to control it. It’s then that she notices Sylar’s heart rate beating rapidly. She looks at him with suspicion and asks “are you nervous about something?”.

It’s not usual for Kristin and Ausiello to provide conflicting information. Ausiello says that grim reaper will be visiting on the March 5th episode (title still to be announced) and that it will be one of the series regulars. However according to Kristin’s latest video blog, the reaper will be visiting someone with abilities and the one doing the reaping is most likely our favorite baddie Sylar:

Kristin: As for who’s dying, here’s a juicy little little tease. It’s someone you think they can’t kill off because this Hero has an important power. But, that power will live on in Sylar, who will suck it out of his or her brain.

In this case I believe both Kristin and Ausiello are right. There was a spoiler that mentioned we would see three major deaths. We’ve already seen Eden so that leaves two more leaving plenty of room for both Ausiello and Kristin be right on with their spoilers.

In the same breath she also mentions Hiro will be MIA in another century in season 2.

Two new TV spots have been posted over at NBC.com. The second is a variation of the “Someone Flies… Someone Dies…” clip shown after The Office earlier in the week. I’ll have to watch it again, but the one thing that stuck out was someone laying flowers on a grave (which we know is Ted at his wife’s grave from the spoiler pics) instead of the crime scene tape we saw in the first one. Finally after days of waiting (guess we’ve been spoiled over the last few weeks with tv.com posting clips on Wed/Thu - guess we all kinda forgot we used to get them last year on Fridays) CBR has presented us with not just four, not five, but SIX clips from this coming Monday’s episode Chapter Fifteen “Run”. 1. HRG grounds Claire (again) for skipping school. He mentions something about Claire having to re-earn their trust (lemme see, POT - KETTLE - BLACK). We also get wind that Sandra (Claire’s step mom) is sick (I wonder if they got that bump on her head Sylar gave her looked at?).
2. Jessica chases Matt. Matt overhears Niki and Jessica having an argument (when are the not) and it’s revealed that somehow Jessica struck a deal with Linderman to get Niki out of lockup (let the speculation fly on how she managed that one).
3. Claire learns her real mother really is trailer trash and that she’s willing to accept a 50,000 bribe from Nathan and split it with Claire. She doesn’t tell Claire anymore about him and Claire looks pretty disgusted with her. The Yahoo TV version of this clips is slightly a bit longer and has a bit in the beginning where Claire is asking about Nathan in hopes that he can help since her adoptive mother is ill.
4. Sylar meets a man with some rather interesting abilities. The clip ends before we can see exactly what it is he does. But it looks like he can liquify solid objects.
5. Nathan discusses meeting Claire with Mama Petrelli. This is a great clip and implies that it’s really her who’s manipulating Nathan and making him such a hard ass. They also make a point in the clip of visually comparing her ring to Nathans - they focus on hers then to his, it’s the same ring (anyone wanna compare it to the ring Niki found on the bodies in the desert?).
6. Hiro and Ando agree to help a showgirl who’s being abused (physically) by her boss - I smell a setup.

And last but not least, thanks to DrDx over at 9th Wonders, we’ve learned that yet another tv spot was launched during Leno promoting yet ANOTHER new Hero being previewed during Deal or No Deal (why must NBC force us Heroes fans to endure such bad TV just to get a glimpse of something new). The spot teases of Sylar meeting this scruffy welder woman (the one seen in the pics posted at HeroSite last week. DrDx was also nice enough to supply readers with a YouTube link of the promo which can be seen here:
