NBC Heroes Spoilers for Chapter 13 The Fix
(Original Airdate: January 29, 2007)

01.29.07 - George Takei reveals: Mr. Nakamura, who is one of the world's wealthiest men, arrives with his bodyguards in a $450,000 car. He wants to bring his irresponsible son back to Japan. Hiro has mysteriously vanished to the United States, and that is intolerable! He has a need for appropriate defenses because there are evil people in the world - people who will kidnap rich men, or their children, and hold them for ransom. My character is very old school and believes in learning the business from the bottom up. He was brought up that way by his father, and he wants his son raised that way, too. That is why, when the series began, you first saw Hiro working in a cubicle. The Nakamuras are members of a long and very important Japanese dynasty. In ancient times we were in the shogun class. An old powerful family of the Japanese aristocracy would certainly have family treasures, and that could include a sword.... Only samurai were allowed to carry swords, and the upper echelon had the best of the swords, so therefore they became heirlooms.

01.24.07 - In some behind the scenes footage we learn that those thugs in the black van that were chasing Hiro and Ando in the parking garage actually work for Hiro's father. They apparently manage to capture Hiro and bring him to his father (it's not clear if they have Ando). Peter and Claude are on a rooftop discussing a bit of spying they did on Simone - apparently she was out to dinner with Isaac. They rehearse a scene which looks like Claude is tossing Peter off the roof saying "FLY!" which is most likely part of the cliffhanger (see spoilers for the next chapter).

01.23.07 - In a series of clips posted at TV.COM we've learned a few new interesting things about this chapter. Mohinder and Nathan meet up where he tells Nathan about Peter's power which is kinda like a color mosaic or sponge, being able to reconfigure itself. It can be dangerous for Peter or those around him should he absorb too many abilities or an unstable ability (*COUGH* Sylar). In another conversation with the Haitian, Claire is told that her real mother died in an explosion fourteen years ago - her real father, he knows nothing about. DL uses his power to visit Niki in the asylum at night. He wants to break her out but she tries to convince him it's better if he raises Micah on his own. Claude and Peter have a discussion about training - Claude alludes to having trained others before Peter. There's something wrong with Sylar and appears to be dying. HRG tells the doctor to keep him alive and that if Sylar dies it will be on HIS terms.

01.18.07 - Takei's character is a stern, traditional figure, who disapproves of his son's quest to become a hero, he said. "I'm a powerful industrialist. We come from a very distinguished family. And old-line family. I was brought up that way, and I thought I would bring up my son that way. But I'm discovering that there are strange things happening." One of the biggest challenges, Takei said, is that he has had to perform all of his scenes in Japanese.

NBC Heroes Spoilers for Chapter 17 Company Man
(Original Airdate: February 26, 2007)

02.22.07 - HRG doesn't know the Haitian can speak yet "Ah, that little tidbit rears its head very soon and, shall we say, causes a bit of friction between the two [HRG and The Haitian] of them. So, yeah, but at the moment no. At the moment no, but very, very soon he becomes aware of it and it does cause a problem between the two of them, at least temporarily." Will Matt and HRG team up? "I won't call it a marriage of convenience, but there is an allegiance that takes place out of necessity and the allegiances are constantly shifting." HRG MAY enlist the help of another Hero to stop Sylar "there is no question that that's a guy he would very much like to get his hands on, or someone's hands who can deal with him." And lastly he confirms what the pictures in TV Guide have shown, Claire gets a bit crispy "That stuff is every bit as fun to play as getting burned to a crisp and healing."

Source: Wizard Universe

02.21.07 - Jack Coleman says that "Company Man" focuses on his character's backstory and will answer some of the questions fans have been pondering about Mr. Bennet and how he came to adopt Claire, the invulnerable cheerleader played by Hayden Panettiere. "It reveals that he took the job and then came into custody of Claire," he said. "It will show you how that happened, and then the journey from how that changed everything and eventually brought everything to a crisis where he has to choose between them. The end of the episode is very emotional, and it stuck with me for a while. Of all the scenes that I have done and there are many that have been fun and memorable but the end of this one has really stuck with me."

Also, the crisis comes to a head between his family and work in a very big way... You will have a very, very keen understanding of who he is, and it's wonderful, because there's a sympathy for the character that he's never had before and also a certain horror. They've managed to walk that line."

01.10.07 - Kring confirms that portions of this episode will flash back fifteen years ago to explain how HRG came into possesion of Claire. At a panel for the Museum of Television and Radio's William S. Among other things, viewers learn that Linderman has super powers of his own, that he was once a member of a group of heroes, that the members of the group eventually used their powers for personal gain and that he is behind the plot to blow up New York as a way to engender widespread fear, which he believes will bring the nation together in hope. Linderman also reveals a prophecy that Nathan will eventually wind up in the White House.

03.11.07 - McDowell will haunt Heroes for at least three episodes this season. (Kring wants him to stick around longer.) When the series returns on April 23, McDowell says Linderman will reveal himself to be not just a mere gangster, but "the mastermind behind all the shenanigans that are going on," including the political machinations of Nathan Petrelli and the efforts of Hiro Nakamura to avert New York's nuclear incineration. McDowell's clearly pumped; during this interview, he excitedly let out a number of spoilers, from the ominous significance of the April 23 episode's title (".07 Percent") to this: "The twist about Linderman is that he also has a power, which is -- oh, I should probably hold back."

NBC Heroes Spoilers

01.24.07 - "Some people will be upset (when they learn who dies), sure," says Tim Kring. "During February sweeps we are going to kill off one of our regulars, someone who has been with the show from the very beginning. Still he hints that we may not be seeing the last of whomever it is that is being knocked off. "But with the ability to bend time and change things, not all of those who are killed are making their last appearance on the show--and we actually do have plans for the character who's dying." Kring also confirms that Claire will find her biological mom in the January 29 episode. "Claire sets out to locate her birth mother and finds her living in a trailer park in an old Airstream. That'll be a shock but the identity of Claire's father will be a bigger shock," he says. He goes on to hint that the revelation of Claire's biological father just might be someone fans are already familiar with. "I'll say no more about that except that the reveal will be a lot of fun for the audience...Claire has to go on the road to find him. Once she meets her true parents, it will become even more important for her to find other people like her."

Source: Super Hero Hype

01.23.07 - The next death will occur in the Februrary Sweeps. Once Claire meets her real parents, it will become more important to find others like her. Hiro's father is supposed to be one of the world's wealthiest men, he arrives with bodyguards in a $450,000 car. It will be revealed that Hiro's family are members of a long and very important Japenese dynasty. Linderman will be revealed after February. Very soon Niki and Jessica will battle to take control and a winner will be declared. D.L will struggle as a single parent. Matt will be the last hero to be folded into the main story. Ted is named after Ted Kaczynski. Simone and Mohinder will NEVER have powers. No one will be able to find Peter for several episodes [ed. new tag line? How do you find an invisible man?]. Nathan WILL win his campaign. There will be no more new characters introduced in the Heroes comics [ed. thank god, Hana's kewl but those who don't follow Heroes outside that one hour a week can get confused].

Source: TV Guide

01.23.07 - Matt's wife is so preggers! Greg Grunberg told me this recently, and you gotta wonder, who's the baby's dady? (Is it Jin?) Nathan really does think he can help Peter with his whole exploding-hands thing [ed. we believe it's by taking Peter to see Mohinder].

Source: Kristin at E!Online

01.22.07 - "For the first half of the season, H.R.G.'s had this big secret on Claire and in the second half, she has a big secret on him," explains Coleman. "Now she has the opportunity to observe him and find out what he's up to." Suspicious, Claire will set out to look for her real biological parents, realizing the ones H.R.G. had introduced to her were fake. "Niki was haunted by Jessica and we turn the tables on that in the next Pod," reveals Kring. "Jessica takes over and it's now Niki who has to fight to get her identity back." In Pod Three, Larter has "an idea there is going to be someone high profile who I'll be going after. It's great, and [the writers] are going to leave us with an amazing cliffhanger." In Pod Two, Matt is determined to find out how he is connected to H.R.G. and the Haitian. "Matt takes a really interesting turn and finds himself embroiled in a very dangerous situation that he never saw coming," teases Kring. Later in the day, Lackey is back on set, ready to film a scene at the Parkman home with Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays Mohinder Suresh, a geneticist searching for people his late father believed possess unique abilities. When Parkman pops up on Mohinder's "list," Suresh makes the trek from New York to L.A. to investigate him.

Source: Wizard Universe

01.22.07 - According to Adrian Pasdar, Peter and Claire are NOT brother and sister. Jack Coleman hints that Claire came into HRG's possesion due to the fact that her bio-mom's power made her unsafe to be around "she has a power that can be dangerous to her... Her power created the situation in which Claire came to be my daughter". Ali Larter says that Niki and Jessica will battle it out for who's the dominant person inhabiting her body while in prison. Which one has control when she gets out? She doesn't say. Jeph Loeb says that there are some interesting circumstances as to how Niki/Jessica gets out of jail. Niki will have a run in with Matt, which gets quite interesting concidering Matt's mind reading ability and how screwed in the head Niki seems to be. It seems Jessica is control and she gives Matt a good ass whoopin leaving a lot of bruising. There are approximately thirty-six people on the list says Ramamurthy (Mohinder) but it's just a list of names and cities. Mohinder is on a quest to find them, warn them, and tell them their powers can be useful. In the course of the next three episodes Mohinder manages to contact most of them. Simone is starting to come around and have more faith in whats going on. Ted's back in a huge way according Greg Grunberg (Matt) and the two (Matt and Ted) will be working together to figure things out. Ted's literally ready to explode at any time.

Source: Kristin at E!Online

01.20.07 - In an interview with Wizard Universe, Heroes writer Jeph Loeb states that we will see the mysterious Linderman by the end of this season. Although he wouldn't be specific as to when. When asked if there was a purpose to Mohinder's voice overs and to whether or not they were journal entries, he declined to comment suffice to say that everything in the show is done with a purpose.

Source: Wizard Universe

01.20.07 - Sylar may be sticking around past the first season. Kring says "I've really fallen for Zach Quinto, and I just think the character is so much fun," Kring said. "I just like the idea of him being around for a while. ... The original thinking was he would last the arc of the season and with the finale we'd find a way to defeat him. But great villains run away and live to fight another day. That's a classic motif." The writing team is also trying to come up with a believable way to show onscreen how Sylar absorbs other hero powers and have confessed to stating that he does eat at least part of the brains. Zack will most likely get the axe before the end of the season - Dekker will continue on "Heroes" for several more episodes and then be gone, according to Kring.

01.20.07 - According to creator Tim Kring, Eccleston's mystery man will "introduce a large element of mythology to the show. You're about to learn that there was a whole previous generation of heroes and that they had adventures of their own." A flashback episode slated for late February will explain much of their history, (ed. Deveaux Society has calculated this to be Chapter 17 "Company Man", the same episode that flashes back to explain HRG's origins. We feel the two are most likely related but will refrain from moving this spoiler into that episode until further confirmation) says Kring, and more older heroes will be revealed as the series progresses. The Haitian will reveal a mysterious agenda of his own when he starts spilling family secrets to Claire.

01.18.07 - Takei has filmed three episodes, with the possibility of more if the story allows it. In addition to appearing in scenes with Oka, he has also had scenes with Jack Coleman, who plays the mysterious Mr. Bennet, also known as Horn-Rimmed Glasses. "My last scene was with Horn-Rimmed Glasses," Takei said. "Yesterday, as a matter of fact. And, let me tell you. As I said, all my scenes are in Japanese. I did a scene with Jack Coleman. You take it from there. That poor guy."

01.08.07 - Hiro (Masi Oka) will not be with the rest of the group when the show starts up again next fall. Last week, Masi told us that the onetime Dr. Who is going be a mentor type for Peter. He actually even called him "Peter's Yoda!" I'm assuming Christopher has powers of his own, and, as I mentioned before, I'm fairly certain he is a new Hero and his power is invisibility. Sources tell me the invisible man is the new Hero. Claire is going to remember, but she is going to be pretending to her father (H.R.G.) that she does not remember, and he is going to believe her. Turns out Miss Claire is quite the actress! Oh, and by the by, I found out who is bankrolling H.R.G. Turns out it is someone who is directly related to one of our favorite Heroes, someone we know! (If you think on this one and comment among yourselves below you can figure it out, I pinkie swear.)

12.31.06 - Tim Kring reveals: [H.R.G.] is full of vengeance and wants to kill Sylar. He'd rather see him dead. However, we get a sense that H.R.G.'s working for people above him and is caught in the middle he's a pawn essentially. He's under orders and they're not his wishes. His bosses are trying to figure out what makes Sylar special, what makes him able to absorb multiple powers where most people only have one. [Claire] will now be pretending not to remember anything while living under the same roof as her father, with her father believing she doesn't recall what happened that night. [For the next half of the season,] Mohinder will seek out those on his father's list to help them. The theme will be, "Are You on the List?" Hiro goes off on a new mission to find a sacred object that he needs in order to save the world, and that sacred object is a samurai sword. It's going to be a very nice little arc of several episodes "The Quest for the Sword." Matt has encountered H.R.G. and the Haitian and is starting to remember what happened to him, so he's going after them. He's in Odessa, Texas, trying to figure the whole thing out. He's the lowly beat cop who is uncovering a huge conspiracy that is way over his head. Peter and Sylar are two halves of a similar coin. Both are able to absorb people's powers, but in two very different ways. Peter's is based on his empathy and his ability to connect with people and when he's around them. Sylar actually has to take your brain and do something with it. Sylar's storyline is much cleaner line than a lot of people think. He's literally just a character who wanted to be special and he gets kind of f--ked up and becomes a serial killer. That's all it is. Ted still factor into it in a way because there has to be an explanation how Peter has absorbed enough power to [cause the explosion]. Peter's got to figure out how to use his power because he's just overwhelmed. He gets more powerful and all jumbled up in a big mess. That's where Chris Eccleston is going to come in. Chris becomes a real character on the show. He's starting with an arc, and we'll see where it goes. He becomes an integral character to the plot for several episodes. [Peter] doesn't think that he does, but that's part of what the whole Yoda mission is, to figure out how to access the file cabinet actually in there. We have an entire conspiracy theory that is going to run counter to that based on who H.R.G. is working for and what they're all up to.

12.30.06 - Bryan Fuller, co-Executive Producer/Writer, revealed in an interview that Niki/Jessica would cross paths with Matt. He also said that we will see Niki and Nathan together again and that their story would fit into the bigger story better. Zach and Mrs Petrelli and/or Ando will play a significant role in the second half of the season. Micah's power is that he can communicate with machines and electronics like R2D2 can. As for Jessica, he hints that she may be a spirit... Not all of the main characters will make it to the end of the season; Sylar will be involved in another death. Hiro might fight a dinosaur and the explosition is set to happen (although, in the interview, Fuller says "oops, I mean maybe"). Near the end of the season, Hiro will encounter himself and there will be a big adventure in store. Finally, according to Fuller, there will be a second season.

12.20.06 - Masi Oka, who plays Hiro, recently told Michael Ausiello that "we will see Hiro fighting a T-Rex." Was he joking or does the actor, who still has a part-time job at Industrial Light and Magic, was telling the truth in the light of Isaac's painting of Hiro fighting a dinosaur with his sword?

11.28.06 - I'm pretty dang sure two Heroes actually will die within the next few episodes. And producers are even planning a third! [...] Here's a juicy morsel of exclusive scoop that you can keep in mind when you discover which Heroes bite the dust in the next few eps: One of the deceased was supposed to be on the show a while longer, but he or she ran into a few problems with his or her contract, and this particular Hero is getting killed off six episodes earlier than originally planned. The storyline of this insta-ousted character got a wee bit of a jump-start, if you will, so buckle up and hold on to your couch cushions, 'cause things are whipping into fast-foward. Believe you me. 11.22.06 - A new female hero is joining the cast for a mini arc, and this person's power is unlike anything we've seen on the show so far. All I'll say is, she'd come in very handy on Survivor.
